DRAPERY LENGTH - To determine the correct length for floor length draperies, measure from the top of a conventional rod ( or from the "eye" of the carrier of a decorative rod) to the floor or carpet. If carpet is to be installed between the time of measurement and the time of installation of draperies, allow for thickness.
To determine the correct length for non-floor length draperies, measure from the top of a conventional drapery rod to a point 1/2 inch below the point at which the drapery would end. (This length may vary according to customer preference.) Usually a minimum of 4 inches under a window.
When correctly hung, the draperies will mount above the upper point of measure by 1/2 inch to allow for floor clearance.
NOTE: Length measurements should be taken at each end and at the center of the rod. If these measurements are not equal, either remount the rod or use the shortest measurement as the drapery length.
