Buyer Tips

DRAPERY WIDTH - To determine the correct width, first establish the customer's preference. When using conventional rods, first measure the rod width end-to-end (1) (or the distance between brackets). Then, add the right (2) and the left (3) rod projections (from wall to the face of the rod). Add 4 inches for the center overlap to the sum of 1, 2 and 3 to arrive at the finished drapery width.

When using under-drapery rods, first measure the rod width only, end-to-end (4). Add 4 inches for the center overlap to arrive at the finished under-drapery width. (No drapery return is needed, so rod projections need not be measured).

When using decorative traverse rods, measure the distance between the outside rings (carriers) to determine the rod width (5). Then add the right (6) and the left (7) projections (from the wall of the hook eye of the ring) and add 4 inches for the center overlap.
