Standard General Framed Artwork Product Specifications

1. Image Preparation
    a) All images are to be mounted using the "vacuum press" method.
    b) Art is to be centered on mounting board and board is to be sized
        per specification.
    c) Mounting board is to be acid-free, ph neutral, .50 thickness,
        white on both sides with virgin pulp center. No chip board will be
        acceptable.
    d) Glue to be used is to be Bertco vacuum mount adhesive certified
        for use on prints and fabric.

2. Matt Board
    a) Matt board is to be neutral ph buffered with calcium carbonate
        maintain neutrality.
    b) Matt board is to be sized to specification and bevel cut to
        specific opening sizes.
    c) Matt boards are to be attached with ATG tape and then glued to
        print to avoid warpage and separation.

3. Glass & Backing
    a) Glass is to be at minimum 2.5mm thickness single strength
        quality float glass that has been pre-washed on both sides by the
        glass manufacturer at the glass factory.
    b) Backing board for image is to be a "B" fluted single strength
        cardboard of 200 lb. burst strength.

4. Moulding & Frames
    a) The materials and brands used shall be as specified.
    b) Lengths are to be cut to specification. Before joining corners of
        the lengths, ends are to be stained with wood stain that matches
        moulding. Wood glue is to be applied to cut ends of moulding.
        Moulding corners are then joined with a bottom v-nailer using
        steel v-nails.
